Last had this in 2013, and my note then holds pretty true now as well. Maybe more tobacco and less chocolate and cherry. This can easily last another decade. Excellent.

Was served this blind. I guessed Australian cabernet with 5-7 years of age. Clearly i was wrong on both points. Last time i had this years ago, the tannin was out of control. Now 8 years later they have tamed but are still lurking. The wine is finally in a good window and should hold many more years.

This is a modern styled wine, but made in an impeccable manner. Put into a decanter and started drinking. Started a little bretty on the nose, along with smoke and fruit. The brett blew off over an hour or so and left a pretty nice smelling wine - stone (pumice? he he), tobacco leaf and dark cherry. Nice on the palate as well - more tobacco, cherry, plum, mineral and dark chocolate notes. Last note (Fozziedoggie?) mentioned being able to go another 5 years. This is conservative. It probably can go a decade or two. Excellent to Outstanding.

Decanted for approximately 30 minutes. Still young, but drinking well right now. Tannins are still overtly present, but work well in the overall profile. Good fruit up front, gives way to tobacco and cocoa mid-palate. Lush and silky mouth-feel with a medium finish. Can last another five years easy. Good vintage, wish I had more.

Nicely made Aglianco, if somewhat modernist. Deep plum color, cherries on the nose, with evident structure and tanins that will take some time to resolve. Not a traditional wine, but well made and very tasty.
