Very clean, mineral style, although not as reductive as many wines of that sort. Lemony fruit, mineral, saline, with a particularly attractive mouthwatering finish.

Wonderful bottle of white Burg, like preserved lemons dusted with rock and doused in Chantilly cream. Soft-ish and very ready, though there's good structure (particularly on the long, bitter finish) and these will continue to be good for a few years yet. Predictably delicious with roast chicken.

Plum Market Luxury Tasting (Bad Hunter - Chicago IL): Walk around tasting. Slightly reductive start. Baked apple, almond butter and nicely spiced on nose and palate. Dense in middle with very good length that is slightly firm. Great Villages level wine, better 2023 forward.

Plum Market Fall Luxury Tasting (Chicago, IL): Smoky on the nose. The palate isn't as well put-together as some of the other 2017 white Burgs tonight; it's a little coarse, but there's still some good density and complexity here.

Fresh green and yellow apple with nut butter and spice notes. Very well balanced and in peak form, this will drink well for close to another decade.
