This is a beautiful Bordeaux blend by Miner. They know how to make great wines. This bottle is still pouring very nice. I have one more bottle from this year.

Behold…. The Oracle. This legendary label brand from Miner has always had a solid reputation for some fantastic Bordeaux style blends. The 2015 vintage is their 20th anniversary release. Marking this special occasion is an elegant blend of Cabernet Sauvignon 55%, Merlot 26%, Cabernet Franc 13%, Malbec 3%, and Petit Verdot 3%. Sourced from Stagecoach Vineyard, this Napa Valley AVA fruit pours with a dark garnet color and fills the air with a lovely bouquet of dark cherries. Add raspberries to your note list along with some leather and tobacco. Hanging in there at 14.6% abv, the high alcohol content blends in quite nicely with those flavors of blackberries and plums, too. You will be pleased with the silkiness and the underlying earthiness of this medium bodied red wine. The tannins will firmly envelop your palate as you note that light peppery finish. This red blend jewel certainly has great structure and is very well balanced. This lovely wine is worthy of hanging out a bit longer in the cellar. Let’s see how it drinks in the coming years. Cheers!

A: opaque and inky, deep purple N: pronounced, black cherry, blackberry, blackberry liqueur, blueberry, meaty (but less than the 2014 and 2013), herbaceous and slight vegetal, tomato leaf, bell pepper, baking spices P: pronounced, black cherry, cassis and black currant, plum, blueberry, bell pepper, tomato leaf, baking spices, clove
High alcohol, full body, med acid, long finish, med+ tannin, dry. Great structure, tannins are young and apparent, but not overly firm, kind of velvety in mouthfeel. Lots of potential for aging, with the tannins rounding out more it will have a seductive and sexy mouthfeel. After opening up a bit, it becomes incredibly opulent and very well balanced. Requires some more aging or decanting, but becomes absolutely extraordinary once opened. 94+

Some blueberry, chocolate nose. Tart cherry, raspberry, blackberry, smooth merlot midpalate. Seemed more acidic and fruity than prior bottle a year or 2 ago but still quite nice. Can definitely taste the Stagecoach cab contribution. QPR at this stage is ok but not as complex as the more expensive Realm Bard and difficult when Maze cabernet comes in at 60% price
