Pale ruby with garnet rim. Medicinal, crushed strawberries, red cherry. I’d expect more complex aromas developed with bottle ageing. On the palate, the wine is a little disappointing as not much flavour comes through at all but alcohol. Maybe a bad bottle or poorly stored or simply too old? A quite dull bottle to drink alone. Need to get some food to pair to be able to finish the bottle.

Colour: translucent bright cherry red Nose: sour cherry, cranberry. Raspberry. Dried rosemary, savoury. Rose petals? Sweet spice, cinnamon, old oak. Palate: sour cherry, raspberry? Rose petals. Balsamic vinegar. Sweet spice, old oak. Less savouriness than on the nose. Fresh berry-like acidity; fine grained sandpapery tannins, somewhat drying but less than I’d expect for Nebbiolo. Decent level of complexity, lithe, fresh, lively, vital. Medium bodied, 14% alcohol. Seal: techical cork, perhaps diam.

Dark translucent ruby. Nose of typical rose and earth. Lovely fine texture, fresh acidity, good length. Priced at the low end and excellent QPR!
