Light and citrus aroma, fresh and fruity on the palate, both typical of NZ SB. However, the acidity has so obviously mellowed over the few years in the cellar and layers of taste and fruit profile is apparent. Overall feels much closer to a Chardonnay than a young and green SB. Interesting and worth the wait.
Medium acidity, medium body, medium to long finish. Not a typical NZ but in a way, also one of the most complex SB I had in a long time.

Medium+ intensity, with strong ripe gooseberry notes, some fennel, yellow apple, hint of tropical notes and clearly some oak which on one hand makes it interesting and on the other (for me) doesn’t suit the wine. Medium+ acidity, medium+ finish
I can see that people find this interesting, it is well made and quite complex, but it is not for me. And the QPR is so so at best

This was a very well made New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc - fresh black currant with vegetal overtones and light sweetness of tropical fruits on the nose. Palate provides plenty of citrusy acidity and a continuation of the blackcurrants. There's a long finish of the fresh vegetal notes.
Stylistically not for me personally, but I thought this was a fantastic example of a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc drinking at around its peak showing.

Complex bouquet with minerals, yellow fruits and citrus. Same on the palate, beautiful lemon and lime acidity and flint stone impressions.

Vinetasters: Sauvignon Blanc (Skokie, IL): Served double blind. Like licking a spill at a gas station. Disgusting and undrinkable. My 11th, group's 9th.
