Elegant, cool blue fruit that is lightweight and airy, wired around a bright, acidic core. Soft tannins give a touch of grip, and the wine ends with some peppery spiciness on the finish.
I have never had a Vespolina varietal wine before, but no signs of it fading 6 years after vintage.

Popped and poured. Medium ruby color. Very floral on the nose with some black cherry and grape must notes. Similar flavors on the palate with a slightly grapey flavor profile and lots of fresh florals. Medium to medium+ acid, medium tannins. A bit simple but a solid quaffer for tomato sauced based dishes and pizza for sure.

Nice cut above pizza & pasta wine. Dark and red fruited, I'd call it easy drinking but as it opened there was a nice grip and some minerality that kept this more interesting and satisfying fort the money. Nice value.

Light, bright and very drinkable. Nicely balanced. Not the most complex wine, but the enjoyment factor makes up for that! Red fruits and flowers, aged in tank--great bistro wine.

Typical Italian character, did not match grilled ribs better on its own!
