Chateau Grillet Tasting + after.... (De Gustibus + Hutong): Some people found this to be too big and too intense. For sure this poured darker than most of the others and you can tell it was a warmer year. Interestingly enough though less hot than the 2016 was (e.g. less alcoholic). It's more fruit. Maybe dragonfruit. Very bright. I still enjoyed it.

Lush, rich, unctuous and lower in acidity than the 2 previous recent vintages under the new regime, the wine is concentrated, ripe, fresh and packs a punch with its mineral driven, floral, citrus character. The wine is long and leaves a good impression on the palate and in the finish.
