This has certainly filled out and is now showing nicely - no tunnel here so far. Excellent equilibrium and one of the better white Crozes I’ve ever had.

Relatively subtle nose, lightly honeyed and floral. With air, the honeyed edge becomes more prominent. A little closed on the palate, nice weight and texture. A little rustic / bitter through the finish. Decent but not particularly interesting. Will see how it evolves

Agree with what nyccablover wrote. We served this side by side with a 2016 Chapoutier les granilites St Joseph blanc, which many had as the winner. In my book it was more even. The Dard&Ribo was lighter, less of an oak/ripe marzipan fruit flavor and more minerality and acidity. Was also slightly greener and a little more thin on the middle - but with a core of floral and mineral notes that made me really like this. I think this will fill out over time, and I will try to save my other bottles.

Drank side by side with the '16 Souhaut St Joseph Blanc - this was the clear winner. Initially served too chilled from the ice bucket but as this warmed up it got much better. Nose had white florals and stone fruit. On the palate this had stone fruit, some lemon pith, almonds and minerality on the finish. Quite nice but think this will develop more complexity with a few years in the cellar.

Pale gold, floral and citrus fruits. Young with light acidity. Minerality gives good balance
