Drank on a warm summer day while fishing. First glass was very refreshing with tart acidity and orange/red cherry hints. Not as lively as it warmed in glass (no surprise) which resulted in some bitterness. Perhaps a little young yet.

The Opener 2021 (The Ranch, WI): Light pink color. Drank 2 glasses over 2 hours. This was another boat wine, and it wasn;t quite at ideal temp. I'm generally a big fan of Chinon rose and this was another good one. A Kermit Lynch selection which generally bodes well too. Very nice tart red cherry and citrus notes gravitating to tangerine. Good mineral notes and acidty balance the fruit nicely. 89+ to 90pts.

Loving all expressions of Cab Franc these days especially those from Chinon. This Rose has expressive fruit, good acidity and body, and lingering aftertaste. Good with food or by itself as an aperitif.

Pale salmon. On the nose red cherries, red currants. On the palate the wine is dry with medium plus acidity, medium alcohol, medium body and aromas of red cherries, currants, cherry candy, strawberries on the palate. The wine is balanced, and drinking well now. Would consume in next 2 yrs.

better the 2nd night. This probably will drink better next year after the alcohol integrates. otherwise, very nice. I don't understand the current drinking window to 2028: don't think it's last nearly 10 years, and it's not designed to.
