My second bottle. Two hour decant. Black/purple. Spice and dark fruits on the nose. Medium to full bodied, concentrated, quite sweet dark fruits with a dry tannic finish. Slight complexity, and a touch of effervescence early on. Prior to the 2 hour point there was some flabbiness, but the wine later tightened up. This is a fun/interesting wine to drink - but it is not a 95 point wine, as suggested by one professional reviewer. I had this with a rib eye, and frankly, for a Grenache based wine, I would have preferred something more earthy, from the southern Rhone. Alternatively, from Spain, I would prefer a Rioja. This is one of those overly extracted wines with sweet fruit - not my preference. Addendum: I stored one-half of this bottle in a half-bottle with vacuvin in the refrigerator. A couple of days later, the wine showed even more sweet fruit, almost cloying. Another day after that, however, the sweetness was mellowed out, and the wine improved. Will be interesting to see if this wine is better in a couple of years.

Corked and showing fizzy signs of secondary fermentation. Down the drain.

One hour decant and paired nicely with Spanish tapas. Solid wine drinking well now.

Drier than I recall, lots of fruit and lingering finish. Great structure.

JD95 is a bit over the top but it's still solid, bright cherry-rasp is fruit forward from the Grenache, needs a couple more years to peak.
