I know this is going to be a ridiculous review. I don't usually post unless I have something different to say. I kept this wine in my cellar for three years even though it is a PnP 15 dollar wine and was drinking reasonably well on release.
I really think this wine has dramatically changed. The tannins have softened and mellowed. The earthy, slate and mushroom notes have emerged while the primary blackberry fruit remains. 20s finish. If I drank this blind, I would be tempted to guess it was a fruit-forward Graves at a price point 3-4x what I paid.
I think the Wine Advocate rating is too low and I am a little shocked by how well a 15 dollar wine aged. If you happen to have some left, give it a try as I don't think it will get better. If you agree with me, send me a note so I know I am not crazy. If you don't agree, please just ignore this as I prefer positive affirmation only....:)

Now drinking well - we had the first of this vintage about 2 years ago and it was way too young and tannic. Now it shows a lovely cherry nose a couple of hours after pulling the cork, and the fruit and tannins are well balanced. It will likely be better still in another 2-3 years.
