Coravin'd half the bottle a few nights ago, attacking the balance as a pnp. Wine is drinking well but given the tannins and prior experience, would benefit from an hour or three of air

Picked this up at a wine shop in Panzano, Tuscany. Classic Sangiovese nose with great structure and tannins to let this easily sail past 2025+. In a great spot right now but can see the tannins softening a bit more to make this even more pleasurable than it is.

2 1/2 hour decant, and this could actually stand a little more air. Fragrant nose shows red cherry, elderberry. Surprising amount of structure and tannins give this a drinking window to 2025 or beyond.

Tasted over two days. Very closed both on the nose and along the taste curve. Did not improve day 2. it may need another 3 years or it may not open up at all ?

Agree with a previous poster on the strong smell of rubber that you get upon opening and even after aeration. It is a little off-putting. Also as WA pointed out in their review the wine is a bit thin and lacks much of a mouthfeel. Will check in with this wine in a couple of years.
