With only a three hour decant, this was still pretty wound tight and glimpsing at excellence. The register is kind of high right now with red fruits, just-ripe cherry, sweet herb (eucalyptus?), some dusty earth and even some orange peel. Still pretty hard and upright right now, but not entirely defensive, friendly enough to take some sips and works with food. I should have read ahead to see other CT users' 6-8 hour decant recommendations.
I've only got a couple of these and the next one is for ~2025+.
Label shows 15.00% abv (yes, two decimal places). I had a hard time believing it. I can't remember if Italian wines got caught up in the Trump tariffs at some point while the advantage remained for 14+ abv wines. If so, maybe some importers ensured favorable import back labels...

Eight hour decant. Medium red center. Menthol and tobacco. Again, lighter weight, complex, spicy red fruit, fine acidity and soil, and terrific inner mouth fragrance. No shortage of structure either-drying soil-laced finish. A total winner of a basic Barolo that will go on for a long time.

Pale/medium garnet color. Medium bodied with high tannins and medium+ acidity. Aromas of cherry, dried figs, rose. Secondary aromas of tar, smoke and tobacco. Decanted for 2.5 hours, could’ve done more. Opened up nicely with truffle risotto.

Given a 6 hour decant. Medium red. Cut flowers, citrus peel, and eventually, some menthol/mint-now this is a complicated Nebbiolo nose! Light weight but pretty explosive in the mouth. Lovely ripe red fruit and tobacco with a seriously structured back end that is quite firm, tannic, and full of soil. This definitely closes down over time, so either get a glimpse of it now or wait until it re-emerges down the road. I think this is the first wine I've ever tasted from Schiavenza, and it left an overwhelmingly positive impression. It is another outstanding basic Barolo from this promising vintage and an absolute steal for the price.

Drank over 3 hours, a little muted, but seems like it's got a nice life ahead of it
Rose, tar, smoke, truffle on the nose
Balanced acidity and tannins, hint of chocolate on the palette
