From magnum. Incredibly tight at first with a good dose of sulfur on the nose. Blows off to reveal a young Batard, big and bold with sweeter fruit. Out of mag, this wine will last a very long time.

Zachys La Paulee "Warm-up" Dinner (Lafayette - New York NY): Small glass, brief note. Rich and unctuous with some candied apple and a hint of overall sweetness. Good+ nose, VG+ palate. More youthful than I expected.

La Paulée de San Francisco - Gala Dinner (The Fairmont - San Francisco CA): Tasting, brief note. Good concentration and depth, ever-so-slightly sweet with some candied apple and toasted pignoli character. Very good, very interesting.

This is really excellent wine - classic mature white Burgundy with a bit of that nutty, crystal element and retain a pure fresh balance. Excellent.
