Nose. Truly exotic for an old world wine. Spices, blueberries, cloves, cedar, bourbon, licorice, raspberry liquor, some chipotle pepper too, and some undergrowth.
Great nose, roses, raspberry, and a pungent, earthy undertone. A mid-weight, accessible style, red fruit with subtle tar and earth. Firm tannins, but not overbearing, fairly easy drinking. Mild underlying astringency.
Feels like one to drink in the next several years, nice forward characteristics without any seeming mystery needing to unfold. I didn't find this improved after initial decant--generally Barolo is best on the last glass, might be a telling indicator.

Pleasant cherry and spice on the nose. Quite harsh upon opening but after around 4 hours it became quite nice. Not really a typical barolo flavor profile. Very earthy and mineral. Ok finish. For 24$ a decent wine as long as you decant for 3 or 4 hours.

This wine was excellent the first time I tried it. This go round is less compelling.
Color. Pale red. Like most under extracted nebbiolo.
Nose. Red cherry and some earth.
Palate. Dried cherry, some raisin, and some loamy earth. Pretty underwhelming.

WTSO purchase.
Color. Translucent red.
Nose. Truly exotic for an old world wine. Spices, blueberries, cloves, cedar, bourbon, licorice, raspberry liquor, some chipotle pepper too, and some undergrowth.
Palate. Rich fruit. Balanced by mouth coating tannins. Cocoa dusted tannins.
I think this wine can go the distance.
