  From memory: Popped and poured (from magnum). Far superior to my last bottle. Concentrated, sweet and sour red berry fruit, leather, tobacco, vanilla and spicy oak. Fresh and savoury – brilliant with leg of lamb.

Well rounded texture and good grip, but aromatically challenged. Not revealing much more than a little dusty fruit with a slight herbaceous twist. Apart from less than optimal serving conditions, this relative poor showing could just as well be attributed to a mild case of cork taint. No score for now – hope my last bottle is better.

  Amazing wine. Poured from magnum. Roses and tar in the aromas, and the color was garnet tending towards oxblood. Flavors of plum and grilled herbs in a silky textured wine,with a leathery finish. Some matchstick as the wine opened.
