Community Tasting Notes (3) Median Score: 92 points

  • From memory: Popped and poured (from magnum). Far superior to my last bottle. Concentrated, sweet and sour red berry fruit, leather, tobacco, vanilla and spicy oak. Fresh and savoury – brilliant with leg of lamb.

  • From memory: Drunk too late in the evening and served too cold to give a proper assessment, but the overall feeling was one of disappointment. Well rounded texture and good grip, but aromatically challenged. Not revealing much more than a little dusty fruit with a slight herbaceous twist. Apart from less than optimal serving conditions, this relative poor showing could just as well be attributed to a mild case of cork taint. No score for now – hope my last bottle is better.

  • Amazing wine. Poured from magnum. Roses and tar in the aromas, and the color was garnet tending towards oxblood. Flavors of plum and grilled herbs in a silky textured wine, with a leathery finish. Some matchstick as the wine opened.
