Slightly dirty/sweaty nose, not faulty perhaps just a touch past it. some dried red fruit. On the palate this is medium bodied, earthy, drinkable, even quite interesting but a touch thin and sharp. **

Cantmerle @ RSJ (RSJ, London): Deep mid garnet. Slightly savoury with very floral top notes. Mid weight, quite fresh and savoury, reasonably dry on the finish. A little over with the fruit in retreat. (*)**

Base neck fill. Capsule and cork in excellent condition. Decanted and served. Clear medium ruby-blood red hue. Classic notes of tart red fruit, pencil shavings, and old leather. Simple, pure, mouthwateringly acidic, and delicious with steak. Improved steadily over 90 minutes.
