Tasted at the winery. 20% new French oak aging. Blocked Malo. Light to medium lemon yellow color. Nose has apricot, citrus, vanilla, honeysuckle and a whiff of warm candied almonds as it warms in the glass. Palate has bright medium to high acidity and tastes very fresh but with a rich texture. Round and layered with a mineral tinge and lemon pith, lemon, pear, apricot and apple. Seems very akin to Oregon Chard to me, given the high acidity yet ripe fruit. Lovely wine. Will age gracefully and probably last well more than a decade with further positive development if well stored.

5/17/2020 - Woodford Likes this wine:
At then open:
Smells of sweet wet rocks
Tastes of fat sour grapefruit and lemon pith
Moderate firm horizontal acid
This is a big fruit forward wine, but it seems to lack control or precision. The sourness was distracting, but time will help.
