Certainly quite unusual, very high acidity, almost like a sweet tart candy on the finish, but in a good way. I like this more than I thought I would... best served a bit chilled I would say.

Charleston V - the wooden anniversary; 11/6/2019-11/10/2019 (Charleston, SC (various locations)): This was for the wine geek in me. It's a cab franc in a loire style but with some extra spritz. A wine that is 100% made to be consumed with food, but has a certain versatility there where it was fine with a bolognese and also with a cornbread with persimmon seeds. Interesting. Not at the same level as some of the others I'm sure we're enjoying this weekend, but also not at the same price point.

Funky, but not flawed. Day 1: screaming acidity, almost gueze-like tartness with some really awesome herbs and fruit underneath. Day2: acidity has settled in seamlessly, with cool red fruits, mint, pine needles, plum, mountain blueberry, seamless, dusty tannins, great length. Tough to score but somewhere in the 90-93 range.
