Community Tasting Notes (2) Avg Score: 85 points

  • Decant and pour. Color garnet red, body relatively light. Initial nose of plum, bit of earth and pepper. Before long the pepper went away and primary nose of plum, fresh vegetable that kept making me think of cherry tomato, and a mild flowery component such as lavender. More vegetal on taste, with some sour plum fruit flavors coming through. Mid-palate is lacking, almost watery, and a decent but soft finish. Very mild tannins. I don't believe there is much stuffing and structure here to afford evolution. Drink em' if you have em'.

  • vegetal, dusty aroma. meaty, smoke filled, chared earth, licorice flavors. med bodied. a little thin mid palate. acidity to support more age. finish lacks development. this has evolved in a positive way and i expect it to continue but will not overcome the issues with the vintage.
