  Italian Wine Scholar at the Texas Wine School. Pale ruby. Med to med (+) aromas of wild strawberries, raspberries, red flower potpourri, sweet herbs, earth smoke and subtle sweet oak spices. Aged for 6 mos. partially in French barrique, oak casks and steel. Dry, with med (+) acidity and alcohol (13.5%) and med tannins. Nicely balanced, food-friendly, firmly Old World, with a palate-cleansing, slightly bitter finish. Drinking well now, not likely to improve with further aging. Great QPR.
