Not sure if this bottle was representative given the glowing reviews from others, but this was hot thick and everything I don't like about zin. Started out nice with a distinct cocoa, dark chocolate nose, but hot and sweet in the mouth. Ripe red fruits tending towards raisin with more of the chocolate from the nose. Tasted like a dessert wine.

Decanted two hours. Solid and representative of good Zin - juicy red raspberries, peppery, nice structure, and no obvious alcohol or sweetness. Concentrated and long. Aged to perfection, no real secondary notes but the tannins and fruit have mellowed out. Delicious. $23 WB

Popped and poured. No real formal notes but this wine was just flat out delicious. Big, jammy fruit but not over the top. No detectable heat. Just a very rich, dense zin that is a pleasure to drink on its own. Wish I would have bought a few more.

Drank after dinner. Decanted for about 2 hours. Nose was a little flat for me. But very good on the palate. Peppery, but reasonably soft on the finish. Thouroughly enjoyed. Not sure there's much left here though. Would probably drink over the next couple years.

Drank unpaired after a heavy meal. Spicy and very velvety.
