Some cork influence on the nose with cedar qualities. Still, dark fruit is coming through. Graphite, mushrooms, soy sauce. Mouthwatering umami flavors. Makes me anxious to they some younger vintages i have on hand.

Good to open and enjoy now. Slipping away but still robust. Not the greatest vintage but this wine still had acid, depth, fruit, tannin. If you don’t like old Wine, pass on this. But if you do, there’s a lot to enjoy.

Dried out, tired, and slightly oxidized, an off bottle, for sure. A shame because the '84 Monticello is drinking splendidly right now. On another note, this possessed the most sediment I have ever seen in a bottle.

Not the same as the last bottle which surprised me at 31 years but this was still a great wine. Notable dusty fruit which was very restrained. Melancholy and balanced. Long lingering flavors of dark berries and graphite.

Uncomplicated. Notes of beetroot, blackcurrant and blackBerry. Earthy hints and tobacco.
