Verdicchio as it should be, a grape that can reach higher standards than usually one comes across. Good minerality fresh and a perfect match for shellfish, good acidity darker than normal and some length, a bottle doesn't last long!

A fantastic Italian white! Quite mineral, decently fruity and nicely balanced. Some freshness through a good level of acidity, and very pleasing notes mineral depth and crushed stones, akin to oysters. Still quite fruity on faint mango and pear themes. Very enjoyable!

A private lunch (Ristorante Piazza Duomo ***, Alba, Italy): From the estate's oldest vines (50/65 years old), no skin contact, fermented and aged in steel, aged for 12/15 months in large old oak vats, and then a further year in bottle. Delightful oyster shell minerality and freshness, medium body (13.5% ABV), ripe citrus and flowers, creamy mouthfeel, gentle bitters, convincing salty finish. Very good value.

Lay & Wheeler Italy Growers' Tasting: Brief notes: Citrus aromas, maybe a touch of fresh oysters. Bright and fresh with green apple fruit, zingy acidity and a lovely mouthfeel.
