First PN from South America. Color is violet-red and I can see my hand through the glass. Intensely floral on opening in the bottle but in the glass it was tight with nothing on offer except minerals and earthiness. Disjointed on the palate with the earthiness and tannins overwhelming everything else. Decided to read the back label and apparently this goes through extended aging in American and French oak. Gave it a decant, kept checking on it and three hours later it's beginning to resemble PN. Red berries, dried mushrooms and what I think is anise. Earthiness never fully goes away but with the other notes is quite pleasant on a medium-long finish. A nice bottle if it gets time and I look forward to trying more from this region.
TL;DR - This needs a serious decant before drinking
