Continuing to explore more PN this week with this selection from Mendoza. Medium garnet color in the glass. Aromas of cherry, strawberry, plum, violet, mushroom, rose hip, and some vanilla on the nose. On the palate, it's smooth and polished. Firmer tannins with a little more grip than I would expect from a PN (which is a plus in my book). Red fruits re-emerge with forest floor. Ends with a comforting, earthy finish. Yeah... I like.

$20 Tupungato, Mendoza, Argentina 2018 Zorzal Pinot Noir Gran Terroir. Light-mid ruby; red fruit, raspberry, stem and wood nose; mid-acids; balanced; mid-tannins; semi-long red fruit and wood finish; some style for the price. 16 UC Davis scale, 90 other scales.

Notas de cata: traslucido, rojo brillante, hacia los bordes tinte amarillento (llama la atención porque es joven), en nariz frutilla y cereza, en boca: leve acidez, final algo amargo, en general equilibrado, persistencia baja. The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like strawberry. It tastes like strawberry and cherry. The body is light/medium. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes short. The wine has low acidity.
