  • Nose of cellar, brioche, almond, some sweet notes and slight oxidation. On the palate browned butter, caramel, brioche, almond, cellar and some yeast. Round, creamy and smooth, with subdued bubbles. Long and lovely.

  • Really nice bottle of champagne. Rich and powerful, with a bit of oxidation that adds complexity, and plenty of acid to balance it out. Great value.

  • Nice golden color meets the eye with very lively bubbles creating a good mousse.

Bouzy fruit is what hits the nose right away. Red and yellow apple, citrus, brioche, almond, oak and a slight iron hint with some berries on the nose.

At first the palate felt a bit diluted but with air and some warmth it really opened up and became quite powerful with a creamy texture. Red, yellow and baked apple, citrus fruits, toasted brioche, nuttiness, yeast, oak, but some great minerality and acidity to balance it and put it all together.
Very well-made champagne with a oxidized style and some great Bouzy terroir.

  • 80% PN, 20% Chardonnay. Fermented in barrel and without malolactic, 4 g/l dosage. Lovely bouquet of red apples, was a little thin and dilute at first but came into an excellent balance of fruit and acidity after airing. The full creamy style worked well with rich food. One of my favourite champagne producers.
