  Mid shoulder ullage. Crumbly cork.
  Hopes were not high.
  On first opening: Sultanas, plum pudding, touch of sherry, cedar.
  Amazing length, reasonable mouthfeel.
  Surprisingly it didn’t blow off and become mute. If anything it opened to a core of red fruits cherry and plum, a dash of spice.
  Tasted far younger than its almost 50 years.

Still full of life, while still recognisable as an elderly gentleman. Like a well kept 65 year old. Would last quite a few years yet but would not improve.
