  • Writing this TN days after consumption with no notes, but this had a great nose of Christmas spices, raspberry liquor, and garrigue. Loved it. This did fall off in the middle though and the back half and finish were always confusingly shallow vs. the exuberant nose and strong entry. Still, Excellent overall and great with grilled steaks.

Really nice QPR at $30 USD purchased on sale a couple of years ago.

  • Big aroma of very ripe black brambles and spice. Full-bodied and rich. This is loaded with very ripe, but pure brambly fruit of both red and black varieties as well as plenty of spice. Medium acid with a tug of granular tannin on the finish. This is starting to leave it's youthfulness behind and show hints of maturity I(and is less flamboyant than in the past). Drink now- 2027 91

  • Nice, brambly aromas of blue, rasp and blackberry and herbs de provence. Medium-full bodied with a moderately think texture and quite a bit of tannin for a Chateauneuf. Open-knit and starting to unwind, this is still relatively youthful, but starting to show the barest hints of maturity. Drink 2018-2026 91+

  • VERY ripe nose. Showing more ripeness than most 2012s have shown until now. Slightly medicinal aromas of super ripe grilled cherries and spices, Herbs de Provence. Exotic and wild! Sous bois. Full-bodied and full-throttled. Quite tannic for CdP with medium to med-high acidity. This is really fantastic stuff for the price. Superbly balanced, rich, concentrated but also fresh and lively. This is drinking well now, but should evolve over a number of years and see age 15 with flying colors! 93+ df 9.4

  • Young, fresh and already delicious at an early age, this blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Mourvedre delivers a full bodied, lushly textured, mouthful of kirsch, garrigue and spicy, black raspberry filled pleasure.
