  I was quite surprised by this rioja, which married well to cheeses and salami, as well as standing up fine on its own. It suited me better than other riojas I have had, those others marred by impurities. This was very smooth. The wine was on sale from 16.97 to 9.97. I went back to purchase more bottles, but found the supply out. When it is restocked, I shall purchase several more bottles, since the wine can be kept for a few more years.
