Very different profile than the Vougeot 15 next to it, marked by the 18 vintage, sure, but with time, I really came to love its direct nature. High pitched red berries with resin/raspberry bush and certainly some oak infused notes.
Quite structured palate, dense and impactful, though the quality of fruit is really something and always hinting at that MG red berry signature.
I liked this even better than a bottle some 16 months ago, so I have high hopes for this vintage chez Mugneret-Gibourg with more cellar time.

Opened 2 days ago: it was restrained, not yet totally together. This evening it is a complete different story: dark cherries, blue berries, mouth coating, delicious basic Bourgogne. Most probably the best of it’s category. If you try now, decant, otherwise keep it another 3 years.

Bright medium+ red. Nose is raspberry, blueberry and flowers...some sweet oak, mint and something and something red and tangy, too. On the palate it has cream, very good concentration of raspberry and cherry candy. Long finish with a mineral tang. So interesting. The last half of the bottle was consumed the next evening and there was no degradation, rather there was more nuance to the dark fruit perfume.

21 months after the prior: This is developing nicely. It shows the sun of the vintage, but it’s backed up by adequate acidity.

Good intensity for an unclassified wine (less so for the price). A tad simple.
