Screwcap. Nose shows strong, slightly oxidised fruit notes (strawberry, red cherry, blackberry), while the background has a strong earth component (old leather, forest floor). Palate shows strong flavours of strawberry, red cherry, and black cherry, with a touch of oxidation (brown apple), and background notes of leather, earth, and kindling. The entry is light-bodied, with strong fruit and a hint of sweetness, then the mid-palate introduces an intense burst of acidity running down the middle of the tongue. There's firm tannin, too, adding heft to the palate, though it stays on the light side of medium-bodied. Nothing too weird or outlandish about this; it's just a classic, well-aged Pinot.
