A private lunch (Restaurant Bak, Amsterdam, NL): Mature colour, almost completely bricked through; there is still some nice crushed red berry fruit on the nose, together with some spicy wood and a touch of undergrowth, retains its freshness; the light to medium-weight palate has a silky texture but the tannins are very firm, slightly metallic acidity; dry and tannic finish, light, cold tea, good length.
