Minor deposit. Deep red. Shiraz-like colour. Fine, rich, spicy. Meaty. Amazing weight for Gamay. Good length. Wonderful. Opened to go beside a good brie. The two got on like they'd known each other for a lifetime... Quite a spectacular Beaujolais. Drinking well but I suspect will be even better with more time.

At $AUD70 a bottle, this was a steal. And if one thinks that a good Burgundy will set you back by $200+, this was a fantastic drink (regardless of price).
About to enter its prime, it is purple hue tending to red. On the nose, it is a mix of ripe fruits (blueberries, plums and cherries) with earthy notes and some herbs thrown in. Body was quite savoury, lovely shape and very well defined and tight flavours. Lovely finish with fine tannin.
Drink now or 5+ years.

A delicious Gamay, almost Burgundian. Earthy and herbal with plums and cherries. Fine tannin and nice finish. Very enjoyable at this stage.

Delicious Gamey. Paired superbly with French foods at Elan

The fruit is of the blueberry persuasion. It is a very earthy wine with a strong soil signature. The finish is quite savoury.
