Surprisingly, I tasted this with Foillard's Fleurie '21 as well (and 12 other Beaujolais wines). Definitely one Beaujo that stands out for its Burgundian style. Lot of oak on the nose, complemented by subtle red berry fruit. Has some layers on the palate, but the oak dominates a bit too much at this stage. Would like to revisit it in a few years and re-evaluate.

Tasted along with the Foillard Fleurie from 2021. Liger is showing his Burgundy roots here. The nose is cranberry, and slate, mingling with red currant. The body is full and dense with a good mid palate density and minerality. More cranberry and now raspberry on the palate. A strong finish of additional cranberry and some earth. This has good acidity with some earthy and green undertones. Well worth cellaring for 5-10 years.
