Tasted at Benvenuto Brunello NYC. Only 6,000 bottles made. Aged in a combination of French oak barriques (from Allier and I think all second use or older) and large Slavonian casks for 18 and 12 months respectively, then 2 years in bottle before release. The flavor profile in this single vineyard bottling is much like the 'normale" but with more color, depth and structure. While very elegant and age-worthy there are some powerful underpinnings here. Then a delicately spiced and long, layered finish. Very Age-worthy. I wouldn't start to drink until its 15th birthday, should improve until at least its 30th.
