  The wine is clear, medium intensity and ruby with a brick coloured top ring indicating age. The nose is clean, pronounced intensity with primary aromas of fennel, sweet spices, and red fruit. The secondary of oak with cigar box and strong tertiary of farmyard and earth and forest floor. The wine is still developing. The palate is dry, high acidity, high tannins, full body, high alcohol. The finish is long with pronounced flavour intensity with all characteristics present. The wine is outstanding, can drink now but has potential for ageing. The architecture of the wine, tannins is traditional and amazing.

  4 hour slow ox. Lacks the floral bouquet typical of BdM. Tannins have mellowed but not very expressive. Not sure if shut down or opened too early but wine wasn’t giving much of anything. Definatly needs food. Hold for a few years.
