Needed a couple hours to fully open, eventually revealing notes of blackberry, black currant, leather, and allspice. Medium tannins linger in the background and juicy acidity keeps it moving.

Opened this at Lao Beijing to celebrate a mate's birthday. We had the Lao Beijing Peking Duck, Firecracker Chicken Nest, Fried Rice with Dried Scallop, Crab Meat and Egg White, Grilled Lamb Leg, Mala Crispy Beef TendonBall, Gong Bao Sautéed Prawn, and Chilled Mango Cream with Pomelo, Sago and Diced Mango.
Decanted for an hour before serving.
Dark purple-ruby red in colour. This is an interesting wine with an interesting blend (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sangiovese, Syrah) from Tuscany. Good structure supported by a nice red-fruit-driven fragrance on the nose, followed by some exciting sensations on the palate (spices, red currants, fresh plums) and a long, lingering finish.
A bit young for consumption now. Do give it another 5 years or so in the fridge/ cellar. This is a wine with excellent QPR.

Maybe a decent wine with food but just not my cup of tea. Nice color, not much fruit on the nose- dry, good tannins but no fruit. Decent alcohol- overall would pass on this but good with Italian food.
