  • Al naso ottimi, speziati e fruttati profumi. Al palato si conferma quanto arriva al naso. Tannini abbastanza presenti ed eleganti. Corposo ed intenso. Particolare nebbiolo di ottima qualità, aperto due ore prima.

  • Young, needs time to open. In the nose cherries, strawberries and roses with a tiny vanilla hint. On the palate lots og fruit, rounded tannins and a decent acidity. Medium body and aftertaste. Good Price/quality ratio.

  • Popped and poured. Diam cork. Gentle cherry aroma with earthy notes. Complex mix of flavors includes cherry, tar, herbs. Some sappiness in the full finish. Firm backbone, complex, young and a little tight, but showing good fruit.

Excellent basic+ nebbiolo, should have plenty to offer over the next few years. Great QPR.

  • Tasted 1 hour after decanting with vigorous help during aeration. The color is a medium crimson. The nose has cranberries, a whiff of astringency (phenols?), and perhaps some mushroom. The palate has more cranberries and some sour cherries. Perhaps too early to drink. The fruit is attenuated, the acid is solid, and the tannins are a bit prominent. Somewhat out of balance. The body is light/medium. Not unpleasant, but not up to others in the same price range. Yet. Maybe after a few more years in the bottle.

  • Started with a lot of incredible appeal- not the kind of wine with an immediate "wow" factor but one that rapidly unfurled a surprising amount of complexity while also delivering on ripeness, energy, and structure.

Great nose combining tart cherry, riper/sweet raspberry, very gentle vanilla oak, a beautiful little earthy/mineral/floral tone (garden after rain), and when huffed more deeply, even a tinge of funk. A really lovely nose with great complexity.

Palate is a dynamo of highly chalky tannins and bright acidity (on the very high end of medium+). On night 1, the ripe fruit flavors were also very present, and thus it felt really drinkable, shockingly elegant for something so structured (especially for $20, wow.) Although it was still delicious on day 2, the fruit had faded to the point where the tannins and acid felt much harsher, not nearly as harmonious, more puckery and abrasive.

Its absolutely an excellent value- could age extremely easily and for $20 shows an unusual amount of seriousness. Probably an easy 94 if not even higher in several years' time. If you open now, I'd drink with a rich, fatty pairing.
