The quality of this wine is evident from the off: a nice straw gold with an arresting aroma - some sort of floral combo with wet stones. On the palate a lush combo of citrus and mineral (I know I am not meant to use that word but I do). Another taster mentioned the Rhone and that was my thought as well: very reminiscent of the better of Rhone-ish whites.

Knights of Alba (KOA) Candidate Dinner (Ai Fiori (Langham Hotel on 5th Ave)): It’s a bigger style of white wine (reminds me a bit of white Rhône’s with the fuller body). I like it in particular circumstances but it’s not for everyone. Some honey and floral notes. It was served semi-chilled at first and I think that let us taste a bit more and had some great aromatics. My light top up it was much cooler and there was less flavor going on.

Outstanding, organic Timorasso. Med+ yellow. Complex, intense nose of white peach, fresh green herbs, ripe lemon, white flowers, wax, honey, wet stone and a Riesling-like petrol note. All stainless and concrete. Dry, its high acidity and high alcohol (14% although it seems much lower) are nicely matched. Full-bodied, with med+ to high intensity and length with a rounded yet crisp, mineral finish. Drink now or over the next several years. Stands up well to rich, fatty, flavorful foods. It has no edges but the texture is balanced and very persistent.
