  I thought I wouldn't like this. Certainly a modernist by rep, and 2003.
  But, not bad. The modernist part is mainly manifest by the fact that there was no sediment for a 17 y/o Barolo, which I think is weird. Definite rose in the nose. The ripe fruit is sous-bois-y with age. No obvious wood.
