  • A little reduction on the nose. Improves with air but never goes away. Still ends up being tasty as it fades enough to be a background note.

  • Summer Wines (Craig & Nita's Place): Light red color. PNP, drank a small glass over 30 minutes. Piling on to Chablis28 and JCGuthrie. I gotta say I'm pretty fired up about the 2017 vintage. This will be one to hang on to if you can keep your hands off them. Actually, I was stunned at how approachable this was right now. Drank next to the '17 Arterberry Maresh Maresh Vineyard PN. which was very good too This though, was quite frankly stunningly good and ready to go. All the Eyrie nuance is there already and the quintessential Oregon Pinot Noir nose with a perfume of damp earth and forest floor and the most pretty red berries you can imagine. Clarity, precision and transparency on the long and thrilling palate. This is going to be a long ager, but very, very hard to leave alone. 93+(+)pts.

  • Same bottle as Chablis28 and he nailed the note. My bottle, this was decanted 30 minutes and saw another 90 minutes of air back in the bottle. Very elegant red fruit. Had this next to the '17 Arterberry Maresh Maresh Vineyard. The Arterberry also showed very well, more concentration and slightly sweeter fruit, whereas the Eyrie felt leaner and more refined in comparison, and perhaps slightly more angular. Really enjoyed them both individually, as well as the comparison.

  • Brought by James & Carrie to our summer wine group party on our lawn. I'm a big Eyrie fan but have only purchased the std cuvee. I'll seek out the Sisters Vyd soon as this is a further step up for not much adl money. Loved its weightless finesse, purity & as always with Eyrie, the un-manipulated transparent approach to PN. Eyrie is a world class producer and one of the best in US. Showed excellent red fruit, spice and underbrush on both palate & nose.

  • Tart cherry, cranberry, red cherry and a welcome hint of garrigue on the nose. More of the same on the palate. Pleasantly tart finish. I really enjoyed this bottle, and this style of pinot. Very food friendly. It definitely shows young now; I suspect this will be pretty killer in 5-10 years.
