  • PNP followed over the evening. Chocolate, black cherry, cherry liqueur, spice and some oak in the background. Early on there was notes of mint, but that faded behind the fruit as the night wore on. Nice depth of flavor, clearly Napa cab, but made in a restrained style. Soft tannins, long finish, drinks at 2-3x the price. Lovely now, this should continue to improve over the next few years.

  • Ed makes great wine. I think blind this would best a lot of $50-$75 bottles of Napa/Sonoma. Wonderful dark fruit, depth, and spice. Tannins are evident but not overwhelming. Long finish.

  • Delicious plum and dark berry fruit, soft oak, herbs, and menthol on the nose and palate with tasty tannins on the moderate long finish.

  • Pop and pour.
    Tasted on its own.
    Dark purple color.
Nose of dark fruits - cherry and plum - with a hint of herbs (basil and sage).
Nice rich flavor. Good dark fruits, some chocolate notes and with touches of herbs mixed in that act as an accent to the fruit. Tannins integrated. Acidity to help carry the ripe fruit.
Quite enjoyable. Leans on the bigger side of cabernet.

  • Dark red and black fruit, cassis alongside some quite prominent and slightly disjointed herbal elements and a menthol note. Slightly toasty oak. High acid and medium plus grippy tannins at the start. With air, it softened up a bit and herbal element became integrated better. I'd give it another 5 years+ in bottle before revisiting.

    Decant: 3h
    Stem: Gabriel Glas StandArt
