Pooped and poured. Beautiful nose, slight reminiscent of the grand vin from the nose alone. Elegant and balanced on the palate. Quite subtle, smooth tannins, great mouth feel. A real treat!

Decanted the remaining half of the bottle left from some Coravin pours a few months ago. Deep ruby red. Typical Latour concentrated nose of velvety and powerful cassis, spices, black currants, cigar box/cedar, leather. Pencil lead? Less powerful on the palate but rather elegant, medium bodied black and red fruits, great balance and acidity and a decent finish with tannins present but quite approachable. I prefer the third wine from 2009 than this second Latour wine from 2006. Maybe it's just me.

Very consistent with my previous notes, still on the upward trend, brilliant!

Smooth and silky in texture, displaying the spicy black fruits in a subtle way, young and delicious!

I recommend 6 hours of decanting, the next 5 years will definitely be beautifully drinkable.
