Dark red. The nose is tight but still gives up some blackberry, thyme, pepper and earthy black cherry. It comes and goes. Concentrated earthy black cherry and herb flavours and a very nice earthy mid weight finish.
Not Cayuse or Reynnvan but doing it’s own thing. Could be mistaken for a Crozes Hermitage. Time will help.

Same wine maker for the last three decades almost. Black fruit, and soft, and some sweet oak on it. Soft and easy drinking, with a good amount of acidity to it. No earthy or animal funk, just black fruit and chocolate. Kinda rides on the sweet chocolate note to it.

I needed one bottle to fill a case being shipped and picked this unknown little gem. The groups ratings are less than stellar but, maybe it's having a couple more years under her belt ... she's quite lovely. Well balanced. Medium acid and bright, still fresh, dark fruit. Tannins are soft. I rather liked it.
