  From a case won at auction for not much money. Lovely perfectly mature Barbaresco.
  
  Appearance: Dark ruby with an obvious brick rim
  
  Nose: fairly muted but shows dried cherry, some salinity and a hint of
  
  Palate: dried cherry and plum, a floral note, some Palma violet, a mushroomy savouriness and finishes with pleasing acidity with integrated tannins. Long finish.
  
  This isn’t a high end Barbaresco but it has stood up well and is certainly enjoyable. It isn’t going to get any better for sure.
