February 23, 25, & 27, 2024 Intensely yeasty when first opened, ripe melon, loads of mineral. The palate was a bit more fruit forward, sweetish strawberry and melon; creamy texture but a nice line of cutting acidity to keep things fresh. The finish was moderately long and brought on some blood orange and pepper as it tapered off. Nice stuff. No rush from where I’m standing. I seem to like Tavel rosés with 3+ years of bottle age.

Bright pinkish red in glass. Nose reminiscent of melon and strawberries. Medium full body on palate with brisk acidity. The perfect companion to shrimp or shellfish. A serious rose'.

Aromas of watermelon, bing cherry, lime and strawberry. Lot going on with the nose. Flavors of watermelon, cherry, strawberry lime and rhubarb. Ends with a 20-25 second finish with cherry and lime notes. This is a big, burly Rose and packs a lot of flavor. Has a nice acidity but also some body. Tavel Roses are slowly becoming my go to roses.

Color: Med-dark salmon. Blood orange rim. This is normal for Tavel.
Nose: Cassic grenache driven nose of dried herbed cherry and strawberry with a hint of licorice and garrrigue (herbs).
Palate: Med-full to full body. Slightly tart (better with food than on its own). Totally dry finish.
