Saturated dark red with garnet around the edges. Perfumed aromas of lifted dark red cherries, hint of baking spices, violets and touch of animale. The palate shows creamy dark red berries, sweet brown spices, medium (+) acidity and a long dark floral and spice tinged finish.

Good bright dark red ruby in color. Aromas of dark florals, spice, sour cherry, cranberries and iron on the nose. Medium bodied palate shows spicy, sweet-tart red berries, good acidity, and a decent floral and mineral laden finish. Nice.

Aroma: brandied cherries, menthol, raisins, prunes, leather, cocoa, roses, cherry pipe tobacco. Palate: tart fruits, grapefruits, hints of chocolate, savory notes, soft and well integrated tannins, well balanced acidity, light bodied wine with a medium-long finish. Still delicious and full of aroma and flavor on day 6. Overall a lovely, feminine wine from Vincent Dureuil-Janthial. I would look into his other wines. 93

Dark-coloured, with only thin pale traces at the rim betraying this wine's age. Overall a very sleek and poised wine, with concentrated darker fruit flavours that are tempered by an overall sense of coolness. The nose is nicely lifted - forest fruits with a hint of mint and a sweet suggestion of decay - and each sip provides a draught of mineral-accented sour cherry and blackcurrant, leading to a spicy finish. Tannins are ripe and enjoyable. Very drinkable; looking forward to trying another with greater tertiary development.

(Dureuil-Janthial Nuits St.Georges Clos Des Argillières) Medium, medium-plus colour. The nose is wide and fresh, faintly creamy but far from effusive and goes through quite a sulfurous phase before smelling more of violets. In the mouth there is a plush background to soft and creamy red fruit that lasts well into the finish - just a little coconut edged. There is good mid-palate dimension and an oak-driven richness. A very good bottle, but today I’d like a little more personality.

Morello cherry and a bit of depth. Lovely. Prime drinking zone.
