  • 13 years old is a magic number for when aged White Burgundy often leaps up into a higher realm of greatness. Light gold color with aromas of flowers and lemon, followed by a mouth coating taste of penetrating acidity, lush richness, and texture. The grapes come from the top of a towering limestone mountain.

  • An excellent example of how Eric Forest makes ageworthy white Burgundies from the less prestigious Pouilly Fuisse. At 12 years old, translucent gold color with a beautiful and lush texture, plus an impressive richness and complexity, including fresh butterscotch, honeysuckle, and lemon citrus. Proved to be way better than younger Chardonnays with curry sauce, shrimp, and garden green salad sprinkled with olive oil.

  • Much different than I remembered it. Almost more new world than burgundy. Lots of apple and tropical fruits. Quite youthful and not showing any signs of deterioration.

  • Golden color. Apples, pears, lemon, and a touch of spice. Nicely integrated oak. Tastes mature and drinking very well. Paired well with grilled swordfish.

  • this started out rather disjointed, but it has come together over an hour. it posesses a background light minerality; however, it is dominated by a heavier, creamy texture in the mouth that melds into a very long finish of pear, lemon, and orange marmalade. i like the nose very much. it's a contemplative wine. i don't think i'd serve this flippantly to a newbie.now...do i actually like it? :-) i hate the price in the arizona market: $44. that's what makes me hacked off about the wine. but putting price aside, i like it because it's unusual, it's not a mainstream wine, or easy to pigeonhole.
