  • AP 3 560 027 1 15. A combination of 2010 and 2011 vintages. Decanted m now 40 min after decant. Aromas of honeyed tart apples, just ripe pineapple, minerals, and some herbs. Palate w honeyed tart apples, pineapples, lovely minerals, some herbs, some flowers with honeyed apples circling back. Excellent concentration and depth. Medium body w excellent+ acids. Nice long lingering finish. Whoa this is so good and complex already. Not overly sweet due to the high acids. Just lovely and complex but it's still in its early days. Really looking forward to see how this evolves over the next 10, heck, 20 yrs. Lovely

  • This stuff is really fantastic. A blend of 2010 and 2011. Why? I dunno- you'll have to ask Lyle. Tropical fruits, hints of petrol and ripe melon. It's fairly rich and sweet upfront, has just enough hit of acidity to keep things lively and refreshing. So tasty, it's crushable on a warm afternoon. Faded some with time. just drink up and enjoy.

  • So good. Mostly consistent with previous note. This one seemed a little more lush and sweet and 2011 on opening, but held off from going full 2011 and gushy on day two and thus kept its balance better. - was similar to day one and delicious.

  • Wow, this is really good. The nose is intoxicating and reminds me a bit of Egon Muller. A stunning melange of musky melon and sweet fruits, along with a great acidic citrus streak - lime, lemon, maybe a bit of passion fruit or sweet grapefruit. The palate enters with very sweet fruit - peach, honey, ripe red apple - white florals. A bit soft. The citrus and acid comes out well into the finish. A new cold pour is more stuffed and burly but will open with air. Killer QPR. The blend of 2010 and 2011 seems to get the plush and depth of the latter along with the great acid drive of the former. Nose - 5.5/6, Palate - 5/6, Finish - 5/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1.5/2 = 17/20.

Interestingly, this wasn't as good on day 2 or 3. It feels riper and heavier - and the sugar seems to have won out messing with the acid/sugar balance. Now the nose is tons of peach, spice, honey, and ripe apple with some minerality. The palate is huge with peach and honey. There is lots of acid but in the palate there is a bit too much sweetness right now so it gets just a bit heavy in the mid-palate before the acid kicks in and the lime and tangerine start to show up. The finish is very good with lime, minerals and stones, peach pits. A touch bitter now because it is really stuffed with extract. Nose - 5/6, Palate - 4.5/6, Finish - 5/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1/2 = 15.5/20.
